Guess What Today Is?

That's right. You guessed it. It's National Lipstick day! And what better way to celebrate than to talk about three of my favorites colors and brands!

Flower Beauty:

I have always been a huge fan of Drew Barrymore, so when I found out about her beauty line, I knew that I had to test it out! "So be em-flowered," a motto the company uses to pride themselves on the fact that their product is high-end quality sold at a lower price. I decided to try out the Suede Velvet Lip Chubby, in Red-dy to Bloom. The product went on smooth, and allowed for easy application on the hard to apply areas. And the color was perfection, just enough to pull out the natural color of your lips. A total recommend! And the best part? It only cost $7.98!

Urban Decay- Vice Lipstick:

"I got 99 problems, and lipstick ain't one (yes that was a terrible re-quote by yours truly)!" Okay, Urban Decay, you had me at 100 different color options to choose from! The moment I heard about the company's new line, I had to head to Sephora to check it out. I had to have tested at least twenty different options before settling on this Comfort Matte ($17), mauve-nude pink, Backtalk. I'm not going to lie to you. I love the color, but the name is what persuaded me! I paired this pretty, little number with one of their new 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil ($20), Rush. You can go so many different directions with this color, and you definitely don't need to purchase the liner, but it did help make what would have been a more nude lip, POP pink!

We all know how I feel about a good red lip, but let's face it, they are so hard to come by. Products often dry up, or don't last, or magically land on the fronts of your pearly whites. So, when I am in the market for something new, I tend to go big or go home, and purchase the Chanel! Does it put a bit of a dent in the wallet? Yes. But, dang girl, you look good! Needless to say, I was super pumped when I saw that their Le Rouge Collection had hit stores, and immediately had to check it out. I fell in love with Rouge Allure 57 (Limited Edition $37). It is the perfect shade of orange-red, and its long-lasting wear doesn't dry up, or flake off. This lipstick does have a matching liner, but because I am such a red fanatic, I would have to buy them all in order to match. So, instead I purchased Sephora's Universal Lip Liner ($10). It coats the edges of your lips perfectly, and provides an invisible line that you just can't seem to cross when applying.

How are you celebrating today? What are your favorite brands? Leave your comments below so that we can all test them out!
